Decorating the chapel

The short answer

Decorate freely at ground level — flowers at the altar, arrangements lining the aisle and chairs — but nothing attaches to the walls, and everything you bring comes back out by the end of your window.

The chapel photographs beautifully empty — white walls, arched window, Hill Country light. Which means anything you add reads as intentional. Here's how decorating works.

What works

  • Ground-level decor is yours to play with: floral arrangements at the altar area, lanterns or flowers lining the aisle, arrangements beside the chairs.
  • Reserve-your-row touches — ribbon or small signs on the front rows for family.
  • A backdrop moment — the chapel's free-standing cross (choose it in your questionnaire, no charge) or the Decorative Backdrop add-on's white floral pillars. More in Chapel layout & seating.

The two rules

  1. Nothing attaches to the walls. No tape, no hooks, no exceptions — the room's clean lines are the point.
  2. In and out within your window. Setup starts when your window opens; every last stem and lantern leaves before it closes. Assign a wrap-up person and keep the boxes.
