Sample ceremony timelines

The short answer

Your ceremony starts at least 30 minutes after your window opens and ends with everything wrapped by the time it closes. Here are real timelines to copy.

Every experience reserves the chapel privately for you — the whole window is yours. Two rules shape the day:

  • Your ceremony start time (you'll choose it in your Pre-Wedding Questionnaire) must be at least 30 minutes after your window opens and at least 30 minutes before it closes — that guarantees breathing room on both sides.
  • Everything wraps by the end of your window — photos on the grounds included. Vendors arrive and depart within the window too.

The Signature — 90 minutes (example: 2:00–3:30)

  • 2:00 — Your window opens. Come on in: the getting-ready rooms are yours from this minute.
  • 2:10 — Vendors set up; your music person cues the playlist.
  • 2:30 — Guests begin arriving and finding seats.
  • 2:45 — Ceremony begins.
  • 3:05 — You're married! Ring the bell on your way out.
  • 3:10 — Photos in the chapel and on the grounds.
  • 3:25 — Sendoff.
  • 3:30 — Window closes — everyone (and everything you brought) heads out.

The Premier — 3.5 hours (example: 1:00–4:30)

  • 1:00 — Window opens. Settle into the getting-ready rooms — this is the unhurried version.
  • 2:00 — Vendors and decor in place; quiet moment (or first look) before guests arrive.
  • 2:30 — Guests arrive.
  • 2:45 — Ceremony begins.
  • 3:15 — Bell, hugs, and the champagne toast and cake if you've added them.
  • 3:45 — Photos everywhere you want them.
  • 4:15 — Sendoff.
  • 4:30 — Window closes.

The Intimate — 90 minutes

With up to six of you, the day is beautifully simple: arrive ceremony-ready, take a breath, marry each other, ring the bell, and spend the rest of your window on photos.

After the ceremony

The most-asked question we get: "what do we do after?" The pattern that works: bell → hugs and congratulations → toast and cake if they're part of your day → photos → sendoff. If you'd like ideas for celebrating afterward, our Reception Ideas page has our favorite nearby spots.
