Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Chapel at Wimberley LLC, d/b/a The Chapel at Wimberley ("The Chapel," "we," or "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit chapeltx.com (the "Site"), text or call us, book a ceremony, or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you text or call us, book a tour, book a ceremony, complete a questionnaire, or otherwise contact us, we collect what you provide: your name, phone number, email address, ceremony date, guest count, partner's name, and the details of your request. If you save spots on our Getaway Guide and link that list to your couples portal, the spots you saved are stored with your booking.

Booking and payment information. Ceremonies, tours, add-ons, and gift cards are booked and paid for through FareHarbor, a third-party booking platform. FareHarbor collects your payment card details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We receive the booking details (names, contact information, date, experience, and add-ons) and a record of payment so we can host your event.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in Section 4.

Photographs and video. If you book a ceremony, The Chapel may photograph and record video at your event for marketing purposes under the terms you accept at checkout, with a written opt-out available before your event. Photos and video that you or your vendors take are yours.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Host and manage your ceremony, tour, or other booking, and communicate with you about it
• Answer your questions and respond to text messages, calls, and emails
• Send booking confirmations, reminders, questionnaires, and day-of details
• Operate, secure, and improve the Site, including measuring which pages and features people use
• Market The Chapel, including showing our ads to people who have visited the Site and measuring how those ads perform
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

We do not sell your personal information for money.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed to do so:

• FareHarbor for bookings, payments, and gift cards
• Vercel, which hosts the Site and provides performance monitoring
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and PostHog for analytics and advertising measurement, as described in Section 4
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on the Site and receives your IP address when fonts load
• OpenFreeMap, which serves the map tiles on our Getaway Guide pages and receives your IP address when maps load
• Business software we use to run the venue, such as our text messaging platform, spreadsheet and database tools, and email

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or safety or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business. We do not share your information with other couples or with vendors unless you ask us to.

4. Cookies, Pixels, and Analytics

The Site uses the following technologies. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how it handles data.

• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) records page views and booking-link clicks so we can measure and target our ads. Meta may associate this activity with your Facebook or Instagram account. You can adjust this in your Facebook ad preferences.
• TikTok Pixel does the same for our TikTok advertising. See TikTok's privacy policy.
• PostHog is our product analytics tool. It records page views, clicks, and Getaway Guide activity so we can understand how the Site is used. PostHog does not build a profile of you unless you are identified through a booking link.
• Vercel Speed Insights measures page load performance and collects anonymous timing data.

We do not currently use Google Analytics. If we add or change analytics tools, we will update this policy.

Your choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and browser storage. Ad-blocking browser extensions will stop the pixels above from loading. Blocking these tools does not affect your ability to browse the Site or book with us.

5. Browser Storage on Your Device

The Getaway Guide lets you save favorite spots. Your saved list is kept in your browser's local storage on your device only, unless you open a link from your couples portal, in which case your list is also synced to your booking so your partner can see it. Clearing your browser data removes the local copy.

6. Text Messaging

When you text us at (830) 402-5690, we store the conversation in our messaging platform so we can respond and keep a record of your requests. We only send you text messages about your booking, tour, or inquiry, or in reply to a message you sent. We do not send promotional text blasts to people who have not booked with us. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. Message and data rates may apply.

7. Data Retention

We keep booking records, questionnaires, and message history for as long as needed to host your event, resolve any questions afterward, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Website analytics data is retained according to each provider's default retention period. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 9), subject to records we must keep by law.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS across the Site, access controls on our business systems, and reputable third-party providers, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You may ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate
• Delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep
• Stop sending you marketing communications

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law. To make a request, text us at (830) 402-5690 or write to the address below. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the time required by law.

10. Children

The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party websites, including FareHarbor, vendors, restaurants, lodging, and other places we recommend on our Getaway Guide and Reception Ideas pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
